Wednesday 4th June 2025 saw another fantastic Gent’s Open Day here at Waterton Park, and we were thrilled to welcome golfers from near and far for a great day of competition, camaraderie, and (mostly!) sunshine.
We’d like to extend a huge thank you to all the players who joined us – your kind words about the course and atmosphere were truly appreciated. It’s always rewarding to hear how much visitors enjoy their day with us.

It was a closely contested event, with some excellent scoring across the board. Congratulations to all our prize winners:
- 1st Place – Martyn Smith (Waterton Park GC) & Andrew Earnshaw (City of Wakefield GC)
45 Points - 2nd Place – Aftab Iqbal & Guftar Hussain (Leeds Golf Centre)
43 Points (won on back-9 countback) - 3rd Place – Paul Waring & Paul Clay (Buxton & High Peak GC)
43 Points - 4th Place – Chris Maggs & Mick Broadbent (Fulneck GC)
42 Points (won on back-9 countback)

No event of this scale runs without the help of dedicated people behind the scenes, and we’d like to offer a special thank you to all our volunteers who helped throughout the day.
From early-morning registration to starters and hospitality, your support made sure the day ran like clockwork. The warm and friendly atmosphere that so many of our guests commented on is a direct result of your effort and enthusiasm.

- Entry Fee: £80 per pair (£40 per person)
- Includes: Breakfast buffet on arrival
